Strategic Innovation: Advisory for Norwegian startup within digital marketplaces

For a startup in the digital real estate market, we provided strategic direction, financial advisory, go-to-market strategy and operational support, delivering an innovative product for the real estate industry.

Our client, a group of major real estate companies, identified a gap in the digital real estate market. Despite various options for selecting real estate agents, consumers faced limited choices when it came to listing or searching for properties online. Existing platforms were challenged by outdated user interfaces, minimal innovation, monopolized customer data, and high costs due to lack of competition.

To address these issues, the client sought to create a new marketplace, providing a more competitive and user-friendly platform for both buyers and sellers.

Differ supported the establishment of the company across various areas, including strategic insights, go-to-market strategy, pricing and product structure, and the development of a business case with accompanying sensitivity analyses. Differ also provided operational resources leading up to the launch.

Additionally, Differ acted as a financial advisor to the company’s board regarding budgeting and funding for startup capital, and assisted in the preparation of an investor memorandum for capital raising from external investors.
